Invented by Ralf Beutnagel of Germany for light wind KAP in 1994, the Dopero is 2 Pearson-Roller kites side by side. The Dopero remains a favorite light wind kite design for skilled KAPers.
Our Dopero 333 (formerly 111) has been modified by Mike Jones over the last 15 years and is a heavily optimized version of the original Dopero 125 to suit his tastes. Maybe you will like it too.
These kites are approaching small aircraft in size. It is a very large, serious kite intended only for the lightest winds to be handled only by those with advanced kite flying skill and knowledge. This is not a toy, but an instrument typically used by advanced kite aerial photographers (KAP) to loft small camera rigs in specific conditions. The vertical lift of this kite in very light winds can be surprising, and can be tuned to fly almost directly overhead.
The Jones Dopero 333 are all custom made to order and will take some time to complete. There will be no stock inventory, foreseeably. Color choice is after sale, due to the custom nature of this kite. More details provided for serious inquires.
