Spar Grabbers — Tube-to-Rod Frame Connectors
Injection-molded spar grabbers — the small but essential fitting that locks a solid rod into a tube end, creating a secure spar-to-spar connection in kite frames. Each spar grabber fits on a thin rod and grips a rod or tube perpendicular to it, holding the joint firm. Available in three size combinations covering the most common tube and rod pairings used in kite frame construction for this application.
Available sizes (tube diameter × rod diameter):
- 8mm tube × 2mm rod
- 8mm tube × 3mm rod
- 4mm tube × 2mm rod
Why spar grabbers?
- Injection-molded for consistent fit and secure grip at the tube-rod junction
- Creates a firm, aligned connection without glue or tape
- Lightweight (0.5g) — zero impact on kite balance
- Reusable — remove and refit during builds and repairs
- Compatible with Exel carbon and fiberglass tubes and rods in matching diameters
- Sold individually — buy exactly what your build requires
